LISBON — An East Liverpool man accused of charges related to motor vehicle titles was served recently with a secret indictment issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury in July.
Jeremy Schultz, 32, Eutaw Street, was charged with two counts of improper use of certificate of title, both unclassified felonies, and two unclassified misdemeanors for motor vehicle certificate of title offenses all stemming from an incident May 26, 2021 related to the sale of a vehicle without delivering the title.

— Jason Thompson Jr., 23, Palissey Street, East Liverpool, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing Psilocyn, a drug defined as present in psychedelic mushrooms, on Jan. 17, 2022.
— Daniel Canterbury, 33, East Third Street, Salem, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on May 3, 2021.
— Joseph M. White, 46, Monaca, Pa., aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony for allegedly possession methamphetamine on Jan. 25, 2022.

EAST LIVERPOOL — In East Liverpool Municipal Court, Kennith Jordan, 49, Pidgeon Road, Salem, had his case transferred to Columbiana County Municipal Court for a hearing to be scheduled this fall.
Jordan was charged with driving under suspension, fictitious plates, reckless operation and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer for allegedly fleeing from police on a motorcycle Aug. 14, then running on foot and being found hiding under a truck off of Rubicon Street.
A status hearing was set Sept. 13 for David Young, 45, Bloomfield Avenue, charged with unlawful restraint and two counts of assault related to two separate incidents for allegedly harming a woman.
One assault charge and unlawful restraint stemmed from Young allegedly striking the woman in the face and breaking off her tooth in the area of Walmart on March 20, 2022. The other incident occurred June 7 when police were called to the Bloomfield Avenue residence for the same female alleging he put his hands around her neck and strangled her to sleep, then dragged her up the stairs and dropped her by the door and she ran.
A pretrial was set Sept. 15 for James Price, 32, Burford Street, charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching his ex-wife in the throat, dragging her outside, strangling her, and stomping on her foot on July 4 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Sept. 13 for Grant Blazer, 26, Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, OVI breath and a tail light violation.
A pretrial was set Sept. 13 for Kateyn Heddleston, 30, Jennings Avenue, charged with OVI, OVI breath and failure to control.
A pretrial was set Sept. 6 for Joseph Sevek, 24, Clarks Mill Road, Salineville, charged with OVI, OVI breath, speeding, possession of marijuana and marijuana drug paraphernalia.
Tyrone Davis, 49, Eighth Street, Wellsville, was fined $350 for driving under suspension, fictitious plates and speeding.
Shawn Paulin, 43, Toronto, had his case for driving under suspension and fictitious plates transferred to Columbiana County Municipal Court for a hearing to be scheduled this fall.
Michael Russell, 39, Riverside Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $280 for driving under suspension and speeding.
Tonie Christy, 33, Irondale, was fined $350 for improper turn and no license, amended from driving under suspension.
Mark Sandoe, 55, state Route 14, East Palestine, was fined $200 for failure to file application and required lights, amended from no license.
Augustine Newman, 49, Jennings Avenue, was fined $225 for stop sign and lighted lights, amended from driving under suspension.
Nicole Hilbert, 37, Duke Road, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct, amended from theft, for an incident on April 18 in St. Clair Township.
Locke Goodman, 45, Mulberry Street, East Liverpool, had his case for two counts of failure to file income tax returns transferred to Columbiana County Municipal Court for a hearing to be scheduled this fall.
A pretrial was set Sept. 12 for David Zubay, 62, Avondale Street, charged with five counts of failure to filed city income tax returns. A charge of littering was dismissed and he was fined $30 for speeding.
Billie Higgins, 46, Allison Street, had her case for failure to file income tax returns transferred to Columbiana County Municipal Court for a hearing to be scheduled this fall.
Michael Merriman, 37, James Drive, Wellsville, was fined $130 for failure to reinstate license and speeding.
Erin Kindsvatter, 32, Harker Avenue, was fined $50 for no license.
Amy McCoy, 44, Lisbon Street, was fined $30 for lighted lights required, amended from failure to control.
Norma Davis, 56, Crestview Drive, was fined $50 for no license.
Shartece Taylor, 26, North Shady Lane Drive, was fined $30 for failure to file application.

LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court Monday, William S. Davis, 34, North Market Street, Lisbon, was bound over to the grand jury on a charge of assault on a corrections officer, a fifth-degree felony. While an inmate of the Columbiana County Jail Nov. 11, 2021, Davis allegedly pushed a corrections officer toward the ground in attempt to prevent the officer from leaving the pod. He also allegedly bit the officer on the head.
A preliminary hearing was set Aug. 22 for Scott J. Francis, 47, state Route 154, Elkton, charged with having weapons under a disability, a third-degree felony, for allegedly having a loaded revolver in a safe, a rifle determined to be stolen and a sawed off shotgun in his home while being under indictment for a drug trafficking offense. The revolver was reportedly found a few feet away from a large amount of suspect methamphetamine. The firearms were found during a search warrant conducted by the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office at his home Aug. 12.
A pretrial was set Aug. 25 for Alena Renee Hodge, 26, Oak Street, Leetonia, charged with domestic violence for allegedly causing physical harm to Alexander Lee Schnarrenberger, 26, same address, while he was driving her home from Salem Aug. 14. Both individuals had physical injuries. A pretrial was set the same day for Schnarrenberger, also charged with domestic violence.
A pretrial was set Aug. 30 for Billie Jo Derr, 42, Youngstown, charged with OVI first offense, license plate light and possession of a drug abuse instrument for allegedly having a syringe loaded with a brown substance during a traffic stop in Columbiana Aug. 12.
A pretrial was set for Sept. 6 for Tammy A. Rivera, 43, Salem Warren Road, Salem, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan $439.60 worth of merchandise at a Salem business March 16.
A pretrial was set Sept. 12 for Michael Gargano Jr., 51, West Railroad Street, Columbiana, charged with assault for allegedly striking a victim in the face multiple times, causing the need for medical assistance, on South Vine Street in Columbiana June 30.
A pretrial was set Sept. 13 for Melvin Anthony Hicks, 23, Youngstown, charged with engaging in prostitution, possession of criminal tools, failure to comply, obstructing official business and possession of drugs for allegedly responded to an ad on a known escort website posted by a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent and arriving in a taxi at a meeting place in East Palestine Aug. 12 where he failed to follow commands of the officer regarding his hands then fled on foot and resisting arrest.
A pretrial was set Oct. 18 for Laura Lea Pine, 50, Carmel Achor Road, Rogers, charged with failure to comply and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly failing to stop for an officer in Columbiana Aug. 12 and was then found in possession of crack and a crack pipe.
A pretrial was set Oct. 18 for Kage A. Mosti, 23, state Route 213, Hammondsville, charged with forfeiture.
A pretrial was set Oct. 27 for Mark Alan Gary, 38, Ashtabula, charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools for allegedly responding to an ad on a known escort website posted by a Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force agent and arriving a meeting place in East Palestine Aug. 5 to pay $80 for a half hour or $140 for a full hour of sex with a female.
A status conference hearing was set Oct. 24 for Patrick A. Mahon, 53, North Market Street, East Palestine, charged with two counts of domestic violence for allegedly grabbing his wife and pushing her, causing her to trip and fall, and threatening to kill her at their home July 4.
Jerry S. Holben, 46, South Madison Avenue, Salem, was fined $75 for driving under suspension.
Steven D. McCall, 29, Crestview Road, Leetonia, was sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $250 and ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a substance abuse class for disorderly conduct by intoxication. Charges of resisting arrest and obstruction of official business were dismissed.
Charles Jean Jaminet, 39, Boardman, was sentenced to 90 days in jail (suspended), fined $750 and ordered to complete 20 hours community service for engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools.
Shawn P. Morris, 36, Walnut Street, Salem, was sentenced to 30 days in jail (credit for five and 25 suspended), fined $400 and ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a substance abuse class for resisting arrest, obstructing official business and disorderly conduct.
George Anthony Bestero, 63, Poland, was sentenced to 150 days in jail (suspended), fined $800, placed on two years probation and ordered to complete 40 hours community service and an anti-prostitution class for engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools.
John Matthew Ferguson, 47, Boardman, was sentenced to 30 days in jail ( three credited, 27 suspended), fined $1,500 and ordered to complete 40 hours of community service, an SATP evaluation and an anti-prostitution class for engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools.
Burdette E. Baker, 63, Youngstown, was sentenced to 90 days in jail (suspended), fined $750 and ordered to complete 20 hours community service and an anti-prostitution class for engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools.
Jason Capps, 52, Canonsburg, Pa., was fined $150 for speed.
Kimberly K. Izenour, 54, Cleveland Street, Salem, was sentenced to 30 days in jail (suspended), fined $150, placed on one year probation and ordered to complete 10 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from obstructing official business. A charge of resisting arrest was dismissed.
Larry A. Hutton, 45, John Street, Salineville, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct.
Traci Wells, 42, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $250 for wrongful entrustment. A charge of drug paraphernalia was dismissed.
